4-Week Teacher Setup Plan
A practical classroom launch plan that moves from setup to first activity, family access, moderation, and a shareable report.

Week 1
Set up the class and make sign-in boring in the best way
- 1 Open KRKB Setup and choose the teacher setup view.
- 2 Create or select the class you will use first.
- 3 Import or enter students, then print QR/login cards for that class.
- 4 Print or share the parent take-home letter so families know what KRKB is and how to follow along.
- 5 Use the first-day script for a 10-minute introduction.
Week 2
Run one real reading activity
- 1 Start with a book review, quiz, story prompt, or private discussion assignment.
- 2 Show students how to search books before writing.
- 3 Keep the assignment short enough to finish or save progress in class.
- 4 Check the student work queue and talk through revision expectations.
Week 3
Add a shelf or challenge so reading has somewhere to go
- 1 Create a curated shelf for the current unit, genre, theme, or staff picks.
- 2 Start a small reading challenge if the class needs a visible goal.
- 3 Use reader recommendations or review highlights as a quick celebration.
- 4 Send the weekly email template to families if that fits your class rhythm.
Week 4
Show what happened and decide what to repeat
- 1 Open the class impact report when activity exists.
- 2 Look for reviews, quizzes, stories, participation, and books that caught on.
- 3 Use the end-of-program report template for a short principal or family update.
- 4 Choose the next repeatable routine: weekly reviews, monthly shelf, reading challenge, or review crew.
