Mindi has a very frightening problem that no one else can see. A big, scary goose has started following her around, and it is making her feel incredibly anxious. Even though her devoted mom and dad cannot see the strange creature, they believe Mindi and try absolutely everything they can think of to chase the giant bird away.
Despite all their efforts, the scary goose just will not leave Mindi alone. When nothing works, Mindi and her parents decide to ask for help from their wise friend, Austen. Austen is a clever farmer who understands a lot about animals and how the mind works. He might just have the perfect idea to help Mindi turn her attention to something entirely new.
This beautifully told story gently explores how it feels to have a worry that feels too big to handle. You will learn alongside Mindi that sometimes the best way to make a scary thought disappear is to fill your mind with something wonderful and positive instead.
